The natural Oak is placed into a sealed tank and the timber is smoked using ammonia which reacts with the acid in the oak and changes the colour to this deep dark brown.

The natural oak is placed into an oven for a period of time and the heat changes the natural colour of the timber to this dark brown with a hint of red.

The natural Oak is placed into a sealed tank for approx 24 hours and the timber is smoked using ammonia which reacts with the acid in the oak and changes the colour to this light to medium brown colour.
Bevelled Edges

During production the edges of the boards are produced with a chamferred edge as shown in the image.
We offer either 2 sided (long sides only) or 4 sided (long sides and ends) in micro bevel (small) or standard bevel (medium).
Most pre finished floors have a 4 sided micro bevel.
Brushed Texture
Brushed Texture
The timber is first sanded then placed through a copper wire brushing machine which removed some of the open grain and creates a textured appearance.
